Rare “Dry” Dining Set by Massimo Morozzi for Giorgetti Matrix 1980s

An exceptionally rare complete dining set designed by Massimo Morozzi for the Giorgetti Matrix “Dry” series, dating from the 1980s. Morozzi was one of the key figures at the origin of the Radical Design movement and co-founder of Archizoom. He brought a conceptual and architectural way of thinking into Italian furniture design.

The “Dry” series is like a precise architectural puzzle. An intelligent construction where the elements interlock in a highly refined way, intentionally avoiding visible screws or unnecessary fixings. The result is a design language that feels like an artwork. Playful lines, structural honesty, and a tension between engineering and colorful joy.

To find a complete and all original set from the 1980s in this condition is extremely rare. It represents not only a dining ensemble, but a coherent design statement that has survived.

The set is in good overall condition, both structurally and visually. The chairs show patination consistent with use, adding character and authenticity, as visible in the photos. The original faceted glass tabletop is also in good condition, with only minor signs of use and no real damages.

A highly collectible dining set that perfectly reflects Morozzi’s radical yet controlled design vision, where furniture becomes almost art rather than just an object.
